About this project
Hi, my name is Javier Gómez and I've been elected to participate in the Google Summer of Code 2012 program. This summer I will be creating a Language Installer Tool for Joomla! CMS. Find more information about this project here.About me
Javier was born in Barcelona(Spain), he is graduated in Multimedia and is finishing his Computer Sciences studies at Open University of Catalonia. Javier works as a freelance developer for group of non-profit associations in his city.
He has been very involved in the Spanish speaking Joomla! community in the forums, translation and the organization of off-line meetings and events. He became active in the community in 2007 by organizing the first national Joomla! meeting in Barcelona and has participated in Joomla! events in different countries like: Spain, Ecuador, Cuba, Chile, Guatemala or Costa Rica. He a passionate about the Joomla! community.
In 2010 he became Open Source Matters board member and got reelected in 2012. He is also involved in the Joomla User Groups Team and in the Trademark Team.
